I recently decided to pursue a service academy as a potential option for college. I have already taken the ACT. However, all of my ACT scores are without writing. I am taking the ACT with writing in April. I was wondering if the USMA will superscore my sections from all tests (including those taken without writing) or just my April ACT and all future ACTs taken with writing.

Pretty sure they'll superscore everything even if you don't take writing the first time. And if they don't, they'll see you did well on the one test even though you didn't take writing. They'll still accept the score, they just want you to take the writing part at least once.

Yes, they will super score from tests that you have taken without the writing. They simply want to ensure that you are proficient at writing as well, so you must take the writing once. My regional commander told me that it does not even really benefit you to score over a proficient level of, say, 6s on each section of the SAT writing. So once you achieve a pretty good score on it, you don't have to worry about it any more.

Yes, they will. I took the test twice without writing and once with, and scored well enough that I'm comfortable. For superscoring, make sure you officially submit both of the score reports if you did better on some subtests on one and others on the second. It'll cost you an extra $14, but SA's weight test scores so heavily that any bump in that composite score is worth it from an admissions standpoint.
