My current medical status is "Pending Waiver Submission/Review," and it has been like this since August 2017. I was disqualified due to astigmatism, myopia, and distant visual acuity not correctable to 20/20 in each eye for USNA. I haven't received any emails or notifications about my status, and I am concerned because I have heard some people getting remedial notifications recently. In all honesty, I am confused and wondering if there are any similar cases like this.

Recommend you contact your USNA admissions POC and respectfully inquire on the status of your file.

POC = Point of Contact

Whomever it is you have been in contact with via email or telephone within USNA Admissions

DS has been told by his USNA & USAFA RC that if they are considering an appointment then they will initiate the waiver. At this point, they still have not initiated a waiver, however he has not been rejected. USMA and USMMA initiated the waiver and it has since been approved. The bright side is that you have not gotten a rejection letter.

Also, you won't see a change on DoDmerb until is has been approved. Your RC can tell you if a waiver has been initiated.
