Plebe haircut

I remember it being two or three times, not including the shave they give you on I-Day. As you get deeper into Plebe Summer you'll come to cherish these haircuts, as they kill so much time that you could be spending in your company area.
 
I Day and then you go about every two weeks to the barber shop. If I remember correctly they don’t shave it again like I Day. It’s more a clean up and trim of the sides.

My PS, it all depended on who you got. Some barbers were merciful and only trimmed up your sides, and some, like my barber before Parents Weekend, gave me the raw deal. Hair grows, it's not a big deal.
 
Apparently the Dant was unhappy with the Class of 2020 toward end of the summer, so the entire class got an I-Day cut right before Plebe Parents Weekend. Much grumbling, as I recall....
 
I remember at the end of Basic when I could almost make a part after a shower. They shaved us the day before we shipped out. When we arrived at training base they were hanging out the windows of the quad shouting "PING". Found out later it was the sound of hairs bursting through our scalps which kept them up at night. It does grow back.
