I was sent a LOA five days ago but my portal still shows "App on File?"

Is this normal? I'm just worried because in the letter I was sent it was written that my portal would be updated to "Accepted" in two days. Again, it has been five days.
 
I am confused by your title. Were you sent a letter of assurance or a letter of appointment? Did you get a Fed Ex package with a big blue folder in the mail? If it is a letter of appointment then I would not worry. If it is a letter of assurance, have you completed any missing items that it may have mentioned?
 
It seems odd to me that they would give you an LOA at this point in time. Are you waiting on a waiver perhaps? Normally I would expect an appointment vs am LOA at this date. Again, perhaps there are some other circumstances involved?
 
Sounds like an acceptance letter offering you an appointment to the class of 2022 rather than an LOA which is a Letter of Assurance that you will be accepted if you meet certain conditions. It is not unusual at this time of year for a delay in updating your portal.

Yes, I did get a blue folder in the mail - I meant a letter of acceptance. Sorry for the confusion. So, I guess I shouldn't be stressing out about the portal, then. I'm just really excited to attend USMMA and any little thing is worrying me. Thank you for the quick responses!

No I definitely wouldn't stress about the portal...it seems to have days of craziness on that portal! The big blue folder is the one you want...once you have that you're good! Congrats!!

In the past the website has taken a while to update with current information. And also unless it can automatically update, it will not happen, at least in the next day or two, because the Academy is closed due to the impending weather.
 
They are also in the midst of another nor'easter, so weather may have some impact on the delayed update. Congrats on the appointment!
