How to join ROTC?

I am planning to join Army Rotc as a non-contracted freshman. I was wondering what the process is like and do you need to pass the physical test the first try. Also, can you wear glasses. Thanks
 
Go on the college website you want and find the ROTC website. There may be details there. If nothing else, a contact for you to ask those questions. There may be an application to the battalion or you may be able to join when you get there. Depends on the unit.
 
You can wear glasses.
You do not have to pass the physical test on the first try since you are do not have a scholarship, however, you are competing to get a scholarship, so you want to put your best foot forward. You do not want your first impression to be a failed physical fitness test. You have all summer to train. Take advantage of that time and show up in the best possible shape.
 
Contact the Recruiting Operations Officer at the battalion at the college you plan to attend. They will brief you on orientation and enrollment.
 
You may wear glasses for Army ROTC but you will have to meet the DODMERB and Army requirements for visual acuity and refraction (ie how much correction is in your glasses).
 
Consider working on your push-ups, sit-ups and running on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays (if you're concerned about passing the physical assessment). If you start now, the PFA will be a breeze in August.
