I’m in the same situation! I’m medically qualified, but I submitted in late September and haven’t heard a peep from usna since then. I do know that a lot of TWEs have been released in the past couple days though, so we’re still in the running! It’s not over until it’s over, hang in there!

Yes, my understanding (and my experience with usafa) is that we will get an email and a portal update which will let us know what the decision is

I believe they do their best to get everyone an answer by April 15th. That does not mean that you will not get an appointment after that date, but they should have some sort of answer to you by then. Our DS was put on the wait-list last year on April 8th and then told after the 1st of May that spot were not available.

This year, our experience was that our DS was called by the MOC, Blue and Gold officer called 2 days later, and then portal updated about 2 days after that. Received his paperwork from USNA in the mail about 10 days later.

My DS is in the same boat...pending waiver for eyesight from USNA, the most desired and only school left to hear from. Hope you and he hear something soon!

The admissions video states that the goal to get the appointments (and the other side of that coin too) out by April 15th. This allows those receiving appointments about 2 weeks to accept or decline their appointment. According to that timescale, there are still 3 weeks still until the academy plans on having the last appointments sent out.

This is worse than waiting to open your presents at Christmas or your Birthday...LOL

Updating for #60...son made it official and accepted this week. Also had West Point and USAFA offers. Haven't noticed others from Alabama here yet? Anyone from AL lurking and awaiting an offer or trying to decide?

Much worse! My son's status is "Complete Pending Review". Each day that passes chips away at his (and my) patience level. He's been accepted to all of the other colleges to which he's applied but he doesn't want to commit until hearing from the USNA. It's frustrating because deadlines are approaching and we are afraid we still won't know if he has an appointment until after other deadlines have passed. This forum is a great resource and reminder to us that we are not alone.

Believe me I’m in the exact situation. I’m afraid to place a $500 deposit at another college because I don’t want to lose the money since I haven’t lost hope for the Academy.

Same situation here....DD is 17 for 17 and still waiting for 3 colleges (Ivy's) and USNA to release admissions decisions. DD has some incredible choices and is also an NROTC recipient. It's coming down to the wire and she's basically just trying to develop her alternate paths (plan B/C/D). Trying to avoid putting nonrefundable deposit $$ down til we have all the pieces of the puzzle in place....but what happens if USNA piece is still missing come April 30? We can definitely commiserate with all of you who are CPR. I just keep trying to remind myself it's better to be CPR than TWE'd...even if CPR means "status unknown". I may have to get that inscribed on a mug or something. Good luck to all!

We can definitely commiserate with all of you who are CPR. I just keep trying to remind myself it's better to be CPR than TWE'd...even if CPR means "status unknown". If she has not heard back from USNA by the deadline, she will need to move to plan B and commit. If she receives an appointment after that, she can still accept it and then she'll end up notifying that college that she won't be attending.

Trust me, having paid full freight for two daughters attending private East Coast colleges, you will be happy walking away from the non-refundable deposit if a USNA appointment comes through late.
