I have read in a couple of places the reference to the previous Rand study which indicates that the CFA is worth 10% directly but a strong CFA score (above 650 out of 800) can also get the maximum 800 points for the Athletic Activity Score (AAS). If this is accurate, then a strong CFA can potentially be worth 20%. I also recognize that the CFA is dated and may not be entirely accurate today. However, if it is accurate, then the CFA has more weight than just 10%. Has anyone else confirmed this?

Since you just have to pass it, I believe it is generally 10%. If someone has an extremely strong CFA score, I think its more a "cherry on top" kind of thing. Besides, it would have much more weight if one were to increase their SAT score by 100 points or increase their class rank by a small percentile.
