Applying from enlisted nuke pipeline

Hey all, I ship out to boot camp at the end of June as a nuke. I’m planning on applying to USNA from A school, and I’m wondering if anyone here is familiar with the enlisted application process. If anyone has any advice/experience with this I’d really appreciate it! I’m at a 35 ACT, 1480 SAT, 3.7 GPA if anyone would like to get an idea of where I stand. Thanks!
 
I think you will be in great shape to apply. The great part of the nuke pipeline is they actively pursue young men and women from A school to attend USNA. You have the stats. So the bottom line is to knock it out of the park in PT, school academics, be a leader, show maturity, support your shipmates. They want to see that you not only have the chops to handle the academics, but have the maturity and leadership skills to develop into an officer.

USNA has an active duty part to their admissions website that references the OPNAVINST that will detail how to apply. There is a checklist on the site. With the nuke pipeline they send in a dozen or more applications each year so I am sure they are familiar with the process and help out too.

Thanks so much for the reply. That’s definitely very encouraging, especially as most advice I get is coming from my recruiter (which is subsequently taken with a grain of salt).

And to add to NavyHoops’ comments - stellar conduct, no missteps due to peer pressure, loss of impulse control or momentary lapse in judgment. Those also have severe consequences for the PRP program.
