AIM Decisions?

When will the Coast Guard give out their decision regarding my AIM application? I applied in mid March. I am from Illinois btw. Thank you!
 
USCGA website under AIM information states "May 1: AIM notifications made by email. Session registration and scholarship application opens."
 
I don't recall having picked or prioritized from the 3 sessions of AIM when the application was submitted. Is that something that is worked out only if selected for AIM? The other SAs seem to ask that up front when the app is submitted. Does USCGA just assign you to a session if selected, or do they ask your preference if selected? Does anyone know how that works?
 
If I recall correctly I think DS selected his session last year; when he accepted his registration he selected the session.
 
When you get notified of acceptance in Bears Den you go in and choose your session. My DS did it May 1st upon notification bc he was only available first session due to BS National Jamboree.
 
DS had his before he went to school that day. He was hesitant to open the email because he had a track meet that day and didn't want it to impact his mental status. But, he did and was accepted.
 
I cannot believe I am back here, reclining comfortably yet again on CGA-issued pin and needles. :D

Although I will admit this 2nd time around it is easier. Easy enough to see that if it isn't meant to be life goes on just fine.
