It looks like things are started to pick up. Does anyone know if this is appointees waiting to see if they get in other SA's or if invites are just going out? My DS is still waiting on USMMA. TWE from USMA and rejections from USNA and USAFA (which he did not have nom's for),
 
It is a combination of situations. Some appointments are just now going out; some appointees decline because KP was not their first choice and they got accepted to their first choice school; some appointees decide they just do not want a service academy experience; and some medical waivers are denied. It is common for these reasons and more for USMMA appointments to be made throughout April and into May (even a few in June). If you are still waiting, your DD/DS might consider emailing or calling their admissions rep to express their continued interest. Also, if any new awards/honors have been received, continue to update your rep. Have your plan B ready, but it's too soon to give up hope here. Good luck!

I think he is zeroing in on plan B. He wants to give it one more try and with that i think he is leaning toward NMMI. I would be very receptive to anyones input on NMMI or Greystone. So far NMMI is the more attractive choice given cost etc. A&m or UNT are both still options but those deadlines are fast approaching.

Just be advised that the pace of acceptance letters will get faster the closer we get to May 15. Our son found out 27 April. Don't give up yet.

It's wonderful to hear that the next 3 to 5 weeks will shine light, one way or another, on the depths of anxiety felt by us HOLD or just waiting 3Q candidates. In the meantime, is there a SA pill that I have yet to find?
 
My DS also received his acceptance letter towards the end of April. I tend to think that there’s a big wave coming out in the next few weeks. Best of luck to everyone.
