Travel tips to USAFA?

All are restricted to a 150 mile radius from USAFA that weekend(unless you get special paperwork which most likely won't be approved as a 4dig) . This past year we went up to Breck (within distance) which was nice as a 2dig that didn't need the sleep. As a 4dig I would highly recommend staying in or around C-Springs. And yes service dress is required for the doolies as it would be for any normal weekend off base. Unrecognized 4digs can be in civilian clothes once they reach the final leave location (home). Parents weekend isn't a leave period.

Thanks that is very helpful

There is one exception… If they are exercising such as running, hiking, etc. then they can wear their PT clothes....

My guess is running will be the last thing our 4* DS will want to do during PW but good to know! ;)

Swimming works, too. My son sat by the hotel pool and swam a lot during his Doolie year parents weekend. He interacted with many upperclassmen and never was harassed about being out of uniform. He was wearing his PT shorts the whole time.
