I’m ecstatic that I got into Naval Academy Summer Seminar, but I’m not sure exactly what to expect. I want to be as prepared as possible and I’ve been training for the CFA/starting to memorize rates, is there anyth too my else that I can be doing to prep for NASS?

Just go and enjoy the experience! There is no need to memorize rates.

This is an extremely valuable opportunity to receive a taste of midshipman life - engage the opportunity and participate fully. Don't forget to enjoy the experience.

Just have fun, and realize it is not a direct reflection of Plebe Summer or life at the academy. It's a summer camp used to gauge your enthusiasm.

It's meant to expose you to the life of a Mid. No stress or pressure. Very little will be required of you physically so don't stress too much. HAVE FUN!!!

It’s a recruiting tool...just prepare to have fun, work hard but really have fun. I have also said in other post to bring a big bag with only the clothing you need. You will have a lot of new clothing and will need the room to pack. In addition bring a plastic garbage bag you will have wet clothing. If you want to keep what will become extremely stained wash it until you drive your parents nuts but do not dry anything until after your happy with the results.

In advance happy smelling!

Enjoy your time there.

I have no idea how many they have at each NASS session, but considering that I-Day is a scant 7 days after the end of NASS session 3, I think that represents some pretty good planning on the part of USNA.
