Hello Everyone! I am an applicant for the class of 2023 and am seeking some information regarding SOEs.
I understand that three of the SOEs are academic (lab science, English and Mathematics) and that the fourth SOE is physical (PE Teacher). Can a PE teacher from a previous year provide the SOE? My school excuses upperclassmen in varsity sports from PE, so I have had minimal contact with my current teacher. I know that academic SOEs can come from a teacher from any year but I also know physical fitness is more vulnerable to change than academic aptitude.
According to the thread "PE Teacher Eval", home schooled candidates and candidates who never took PE in high school can ask their CFA administrator to complete the PE teacher SOE. I'm not home schooled and have taken PE so I don't exactly qualify for such criteria but believe I am also in a "grayish" area. Do you think I would be able to ask my sophomore year PE teacher (also planning to have him administer my CFA) to complete the SOE?
I am planning to reach out to my FFR to ask his opinion, but thought I would try here first. Thank you for your time and help!
