I am just curious, but how does a letter of rejection come from the academy? I am on the NWL and Hold. Hoping to see some action after tomorrow!

DS received THE call from Congressman yesterday!
BFE overnighted and will be delivered today.
On a side note...DS was on hold until May 25th last year and didn’t get in. He worked hard, reapplied and it payed off.

1st time I have heard of HOLD candidate's not being appointed last year. Do you know if there were others?

yes many people on hold don't get in the first year. They keep everyone on hold that has the minimum requirements until the class is completely filled. I did not get in last year and was on hold until late June. I got in this year though when I reapplied.

Way to go! I'm looking forward to seeing you all at indoc.

For the ones still waiting keep it up. This whole process says a magnitude about how you dealt with this process and how you're going to prepare for the aftermath. Don't forget that so that when something like this comes along again you already have fresh experience on how to deal with it.

Congratulations! Did his portal update so he can accept? I received my appointment yesterday and my portal still hasn’t updated, says I need to respond by 48 hrs after receiving the appointment in the mail.

Congratulations Brassplayer! It will update soon enough. Focus on getting ready for all of the documents and other requirements that will be needed. You will be busy from now on as you get ready to graduate HS I presume. Indoc will come up fast. My 21 DS is in Band Company and likes the new band director. My DS will be an EMT during Indoc and I’m sure you can figure out his name. Best of luck to you!

You need to FAX, EMAIL, and MAIL your Response IMMEDIATELY. Just cover your ___.

Our DS called admissions because his portal didn’t update as they said it would. They allowed him to accept via email & they retuned one to confirm receipt. Once they sent the confirmation email back, the portal updated. Sorry I didn’t see this until the weekend but I’d just go ahead and send an email! Congratulations to you!

Our DS called admissions because his portal didn’t update as they said it would. They allowed him to accept via email & they retuned one to confirm receipt. Once they sent the confirmation email back, the portal updated. Sorry I didn’t see this until the weekend but I’d just go ahead and send an email! Congratulations to you!
