Sorry if this has already been asked, but I haven't been able to find what I'm looking for in any existing posts.
This year (senior) I took college Calc. 1 and am about to finish Calc. 2 through a community college. I'm about to take the math placement exam online, but I have been performing poorly on the practice tests. Many of the problems require formulas that I haven't memorized, as I usually have a formula sheet on hand in the math class I'm currently taking. The exam instructions say that no outside resources can be used on the exam, so I will not be using any formulas that I do not have memorized.
Should I study for a couple days before taking the exam, or will this place me in a class that is out of my depth? The alternative is taking the exam without any review of my current or past math classes.
Which way will place me in a class that most suited to my skills?
