Joining Team Handball

Hello,

What is the process of joining a club team such as Team Handball? Are there try-outs during Beast or are they during the academic year? Should I contact the coach before CBT?

During Beast you will have a time known as Mass Athletics, during which you will participate in a variety of sports with your company. The time is allocated to allow Corps Squad teams to have their new cadets participate in training. One of these days the club teams will come out and provide the opportunity for those interested to submit their names and participate in a practice. After Beast, the Handball team will then host tryouts that will officially provide you the opportunity to try and make the team and express your interest (it involves scrimmages and other means of assessment). There will also be several announcements and flyers advertising tryouts for all clubs during the first week of the Academic Year. So don’t worry too much about it now though as more will be revealed when you get to the Academy.
