Here are the requirements for the scholarship, along with completing the application:

· You must be a U.S. citizen

· You must be between the ages of 17 and 26

· You must have a high school GPA of at least 2.50

· You must have a high school diploma or equivalent (high school seniors are considered on track to graduate with a diploma)

· You must score a minimum of 1000 on the SAT (math/verbal) or 19 on the ACT (excluding the required writing test scores)

· You must complete a physical fitness test (one minute of push-ups, one minute of curl ups and one mile run; a qualified PE official will certify your scores.)

· You must conduct a formal interview with the Professor of Military Science at an Army ROTC Battalion at any university, either near you or at your choice university.

There are a total of three National Board Deadlines that will occur during your senior year. It is in your best interest to have your scholarship application completed no later than 6 Oct 16, to make sure you have time to successfully complete the physical test and submit all required documents. However, you may apply any time after 12 Jun 17 and before 4 Feb 18.

Here is the list of your National Board Deadlines:

Application opens on 12 June 87*: Submit Documents By*:

1st National Board: 15-19 October 2018 29 September 2018
2nd National Board: 07-11 January 2018 28 December 2018
3rd National Board: 18-22 March 2018 4 March 2019

*If you fail to submit all your requirements and documents before a board date, your application will roll over into the next board deadline.

This is a highly competitive scholarship. Don’t let the requirements dissuade you from applying. You will never know if you don’t try – you could become one of our next commissioned officers!
