My unit will be attending the NROTC Training in Great Lakes in a few weeks, but we haven’t gotten any information about travel. Will ROTC schedule and pay for my flight or am I supposed to do it in my own? I’m about to reach out to my unit to ask.

It should be done through the unit. Surprised they didn't meet with you before school let out.

Check with the unit. DS' summer training travel was paid for by the Navy. In fact they sent him the tickets as I recall. I think this Great Lakes thing is something special and different though, and I seem to recall another thread on here stating you had to travel on your own dime to attend. Of course that might not be correct at all, which is why you should check with the unit.

From what I understand, the Navy will pay for transportation (I got an email from someone at my unit asking for my bank account info so that the Navy can pay for per diem and travel to Great Lakes). Although, I will not be flying, so I do not know anything about how that would work.

The Navy should pay for everything up front in regards to travel until you commission.
