Plebe Summer Hairstyles

This is of course anecdotal, but I have been on the yard for 3 I-Days in the past 5 years and have never seen a plebe with cornrows.

If you're talking about braids that require redoing every day, they're going to make you cut your hair. If you're talking about cornrows that will stay in place all summer, you should be fine. My roommate had them and I know other females who did too.

So if you have conrows they won’t try to take them out and cut your hair? That’s for sure?

If your cornrows are braided past your chin/collar area, they’ll be cut

Any self-starting ‘22s who have called the Beauty Shop and can report in?

The only input that I can give at this point is.......you do realize that whatever the result, it will grow back. Shaved me bald years ago, spent years after that thinning hair out at regular haircuts to be able to get a cover over it and now I'm almost back to bald again sans the haircut mechanic. [emoji23]. Back when I was a plebe, H Ross Perot made a bet with USNA and USAFA over the Navy/Air Force game. The winning school would get an all expense paid weekend for two
anywhere in the US for one member of each class (who had joined the bet). All bettors at the losing school had to get an "H Ross Perot haircut" which was USNA regulation from
the early 1950's (shorter than a current Marine cut). Well, Navy lost and before the day was done, most of us had succumbed to head shaving parties that were going on throughout
Bancroft. Now we did have the option to make a 10 or 20 dollar donation to Navy Relief instead of a haircut but no self respecting mid would even consider that!

In the light of Sunday morning, many of us regretted the full headshave for one and perhaps avoiding it all through philanthropy but the die had already been cast and
the hair was already gone. We figured that it would grow back before Christmas leave but that was not the case. We cold not even skip weekly haircuts since the back and edges
got shaggy even with the rest of your hair at under a quarter inch.

Like plebe year, our lack of hair eventually ended
