SFC Christopher Celiz, US Army died on July 12 from wounds received during a firefight in Afghanistan. Assigned to the 75th Ranger Regiment at Hunter Army Airfield, Georgia. He was a member of The Citadel Class of 2008 but left after 3 years; he is the 19th alumni to die during the Global War on Terror.
