Possibly Disqualifying Medical Conditions. Could I be a Pilot?

Hi everyone,

I have wanted to be a navy pilot for quite a bit of time now but I have two possibly disqualifying conditions. I have seasonal allergies in April and May which are well controlled with Singulair and Allegra, neither medication causes any side effects. I also have mild atopic dermatitis on my hands which is asymptomatic except for dry skin, no itching, which is well controlled during flare ups with OTC moisture. I have found mixed information on if these are waiverable or if they even need a waiver. Is it possible for me to become a pilot or should I give up on my dream now?

Thanks.

Waiver requirements will vary by service. I'm not familiar with the ones for your conditions (I'm Navy) but don't give up! I personally had 6 medical waivers approved to be a pilot with the Navy (but ended up decided to do something else). Keep looking into it and don't let one person or service telling you "No" make you give up
