Does anyone know what the new cadets will be doing on Airmanship Day? Do all cadets have the opportunity to tandem jump or a glide ride, or is it simply more of an airshow type setting?

I have been trying to find specific info on your question, but have had little luck. Unless this is something new for this year, the basics had an Airmanship Demo day about mid-July. I do not know if there is something similar scheduled once the academic year starts.

I'm hoping a current upper class cadet can chime in here.

As for tandem jumping...I seriously doubt this will happen; the cadets do not train for this. USAFA is the only place that your first jump is unassisted free-fall, after extensive ground training, of course.

Their airmanship day already occurred and it was purely demonstration based.

I was told that they all received one of these. Confirm/deny? :)

I'm just jealous. The Navy doesn't have an Airmanship Day. Sounds cool.

It used to involve everyone getting a glider ride and one in each flight getting a tandem jump (awarded by the flight commander). Apparently things have changed.

Thank you Sir. That explains what we saw in the "Year in the Blue" documentary which covered the Class of 2014.
