You bring your own low quarters, preferably already broken in and not shiny. USMA will issue you another pair after the beast.

So far we received 2 phone calls from our DS. The first call is depending on the Company and where the new cadets are. However it was between the 1st and 2nd week. The second call was on 7/22 during their time off to visit local sponsor family.

I remember being worried more about all the crazy things that they say plebes have to do, rather than stuff during Beast. Ends up, all the knowledge and meals they said we would always be asked about isn't really a thing anymore
I definitely should've worried more about running, but only because I'm a poor runner myself. It's still something I struggle to set my mind to, but Beast was a great time for them to whoop me into gear on that aspect
Biggest surprise was how nice is was to see the familiar faces of my former Beast cadre during the academic year. Even though they are in charge of you, they get to know you pretty well, and it's a refreshing dynamic when you're thrown into your AY company

We get a phone call halfway through each detail (Beast 1 and Beast 2), as well as a whole day during the Ice cream social where you can call, Or even FaceTime your family as the cadre changes over in the middle of Beast

You bring your own low quarters to R-day. You want them nice and broken in, so I'm sure yours will be great (granted that they are still in good condition when you start)

Wow.... no passing off knowledge at every formation? no calling minutes? no memorizing the front page of the NY Times?
 
What do the plebes do during re-org week? I've never heard anything about it. Do they have the week to relax or is there still training going on?
 
Relax?
NO
Get books and prepare for academic year, Inspections, D and C for Aday ceremony just to name a few.

This made me chuckle. I don’t think “relax” — as a practice or even a concept — exists during plebe year at any academy. Shock-n-awe can confirm or deny that.
