Don't be this Army Mom

Priceless.
I would have loved to have been a fly on the wall during the exchanges- mom to CSM; BDE CSM to BN CSM; CSM to 1SG; 1SG to platoon SGT.

This is from the5B.com. Hysterical. She contacts these guys over and over. There are like 13 or more parts to the series. They call her the “Angry Army Mom”. Search it and read the rest of the story. You will cry-laughing.

Not sure if that was real...but, I received a call from a confused "Navy" mom once. (I was standing watch on the USS Nimitz) It was pretty bad (her son wasn't even on the Nimitz and she didn't know where he was stationed), so this type of converstion could have happened.

Where has this thread been? That was over-the-top **REMOVED** up.

LOVED it. :D

The sad part is; as an ALO, I can tell you first hand that there really are some parents exactly like that. Most aren't as bad as the story/link, but some come close. I've seen parents calling the academy during BCT demanding to talk with someone in charge about concerns. Calling senators/reps.

There's still a lot of parents who consider the academy as their kids "Going off to College". They can't accept that their kids are "IN" the military. That they are emancipated; and are responsible for themselves now. Cadets don't NEED their parents being involved. They may WANT their parents at times for advice, to lean on, to vent to, to cry with, etc....... but they don't NEED them. If they still NEED them, then they probably shouldn't be at the academy.

If it was indeed scripted, one would think that they'd have gotten dat dare spelling and grammar fixx-ed.
