Hello guys,

I took the CFA at Naval Academy Summer seminar and I think I did fairly poorly. Since that time I have made significant improvements. I contacted my BGO about resetting the CFA box on my portal yet he claims that I had passed at NASS and it wouldn't do any good to take it again. Is this right??

thanks!

As far as I know, the CFA is a pass/fail event so getting an even higher score would not boost admissions points. However, some congressmen might ask for CFA scores during nomination applications.

Male Max scores are:
BB Throw 102'-0"
Shuttle Run 7.8 sec
Pull-Ups 18
Crunches 95
Push ups 75
Mile: 5:20

The pull-ups, crunches, and push -ups are way below average. My advice (and that's all it is and it's free) is to retake that CFA.
Your BGO has nothing to do with resetting your CFA box. Send an EMail to your Admissions Counselor.

Last year my DS submitted his CFA scores and then contacted his admissions counselor to ask his thoughts on the scores. Admissions counselor said the CFA scores were fine, but if DS wanted to retake the CFA he should concentrate on ‘this’. I take Admissions response to mean that scores should be resubmitted if there is improvement. Of course that was last year; things may have changed.
