Two week extension/Deadline Question

Did anyone get the message stating a two week extension? DS has a notice on his portal page stating everything except medical, nomination and evaluator interview must be submitted within two weeks of his deadline, which is 10 Nov. CFA is his only outstanding item. Does this mean CFA is due by 10 Nov, or two weeks from 10 Nov?

  • However, your file will not be reviewed until your application is complete. If your application shows as incomplete, check the "What’s Missing" (below) section and ask the appropriate individuals to submit the required information.
  
  
  • If all materials (with the exception of the evaluation/interview, DoDMERB medical status, and nomination) are not received two weeks after the deadline above Your file will be closed and you will no longer be considered for an appointment.
  
  
  • Please be aware that if your Candidate Fitness Assessment (CFA) is still showing as missing, your examiner may have not input your results or you may have been rescheduled and have a new deadline for the CFA. If your examiner has not input your results please prompt him or her to do so. If you have been asked to take a second CFA, you must take it by the new CFA deadline. In all cases we will check the examiner’s input to ensure you took the CFA by the appropriate deadline. See the Instructions to Candidates booklet for further information.

The CFA is supposed to be due on his deadline (11/10) along with all the items in his candidate kit (see this post and page 2 of Instructions to Candidates).

The two additional weeks are allowed for the high school/college transcripts, school profile, senior class schedule, teacher evaluations, and SAT/ACT scores. Many civilian colleges have similar application guidelines - timely submission of these items are often out of a student's control, so the colleges allow extra time.
