I'm a little worried here, I have my nomination interviews coming up and I'm worried about my choice of attire.

First, I couldn't afford to get a good blazer, could I get by with a collared long sleeve shirt or should I start nagging someone to possibly by one for me (it'd be unlikely)

Secondly, one of the nomination boards want to interview me at my school. My school has a uniform, but on the day that he would like to come we're doing a special dress down day for veterans day where I'm hoping to wear a certain military themed shirt since I'll be leading an honorary march on that day as well,

Basically, I'm trying to ask if I should I be lying awake at night fearing on what I should wear?

I would wear your school's uniform and not "dress down" that day. You want to look as professional as possible. Good luck!

Slacks, button down and if you have a tie will be fine. A blazer is good, but it won’t impact things. You can always look at a second hand store or maybe ask a buddy of similar size if they have one you can borrow. Think outside the box. Wear the shirt for the March on thing. Change for the interview. Surely you have a locker room. Ensure your uniform is pressed, good hair cut, etc. Dont over think this thing, you are thinking in definitive ways right now. Think of all your options just not absolutes.

Check Good will, my kids love shopping there! Some good finds and usually a sports jacket in good condition!

If affordability is an issue, don’t sweat it. Wear the most professional apparel you have, and above all, make sure it’s clean, neat and pressed. Don’t overlook your shoes — clean, no scuffs, low or no heels. And don’t underestimate the power of great posture, a strong handshake and confident eye contact. Best wishes to you.
