Eosinophilic Esophagitis

I know the only way to be sure is to complete DoDMERB but my friend is wondering if it would even be worth the time hence an immediate DQ.

My friend has been considering doing ROTC but has Eosinophilic esophagitis.
It's basically allergies to specific foods which causes inflammation of the esophagus. If this condition is specifically listed as a disqualifing illness, is there any hope for wavier?
