Here are some links to some pics for the VMI Class of 2020 from Thursday 15 Nov 2018 and Friday 16 Nov 2018 . . . at VMI they get 2 rings -- a "Combat Ring" meant for everyday wear and not made from precious metal or with jewels presented at a Thursday dinner among the Class:

. . . and then their "formal" or "dress wear" rings are presented at a formal ceremony on Friday and then placed on their hand at a Ball Friday evening . . . that Ring is a 44 penny weight monstrosity . . .

DS received his rings last weekend. I would need a forklift to carry those things around...but they are pretty sharp looking.

Amazing that if the VMI ring is ever lost or stolen they get a new one!
