AFROTC HSSP December Board

My AFROTC HSSP board date was December 10th, my status is eligible & states I will be notified via email on or about December 23rd. Is it possible the notifications will be issued before the 23rd? Will my portal status change before I receive the email? If so, what will appear in the status if I am awarded/not awarded a scholarship?
 
There are a couple of different options:

Awarded Scholarship, not awarded scholarship this board (will be examined at future board), not examined at this board (will be examined at future board), and not selected (and will not be reboarded).

@Pima really knows the AFROTC HSSP process, but unless you are flat-out rejected, your package should continue to go up before boards until the final board in mid-March.

If this year holds up to last year's trend, the award rate should be pretty high.

Congrats on getting your application in for the Dec board!
 
I would not expect any results to be releases more than 2 or 3 days prior to the 23rd. Some have found out on the portal prior to the email, and vise a verse. This site will light up as soon as the 1st poster finds out that they have won the scholarship.

I just received an email that I was awarded a Type 7 Scholarship! My portal is not updated, though.
 
I just received an email that I was awarded a AFROTC Type 7 Scholarship! My portal is updated DOBMERB review on. Also received the Fully Qualified Status from USNA, waiting for USAFA notification now besides USCGA, NROTC and ArmyROTC to make the final decision.
 
I had a question—I was awarded a Type 1 Scholarship, but do they assign you to a specific school like ARTOC and NROTC? I didn't see an assigned unit on my portal.

No, you can take that to any school that accepts you (that has a detachment or cross-town detachment).
 
Congrats to everyone who got the AFROTC scholarship! I received my email this morning that I received the 4 year Type 7 Scholarship!! Wasn’t expecting it this early!

Better than not being re-boarded! You'll be ok, don't get cranked up about it and let it ruin your Christmas. You have 4 bites at that apple, and three are still left.

Get your NROTC scholarship out-- you still have 6 weeks for the deadline and you've duplicated most of the work already.
 
Do not look negatively at being re-boarded. It happens more often than you think. The issue for most is that they could be on the cusp between type 1 and 2, 2 and 7, 7 and nothing. They just want to see a larger pool at this moment.
