DS thought he had received a nomination from Bill Nelson --USMA portal showed FL61 and Bill Nelson being the Senior Senator--However, received a letter from Senator Marco Rubio that he had nominated him to USMA. Apparently, Senator Marco Rubio is FL61. He never received email, letter, or phone call from Senator Nelson.

District representative lost the election, no interviews, no letters, but, his USNA portal showed a nomination from our Moc FL-26 as of December 14, 2018.

USAFA was his third choice, he received LOA in October, however, not a choice anymore without a nomination.

@ServiceBrat, I was wondering if your son heard anything back from senator Feinstein after his nomination interview?

DD also had phone interview with Senator Feinstein's office on the 1st - no word yet.

Still waiting for interview with Senator Harris.

On the plus side, she did receive competing noms to USNA and USAFA from our congressman.

Question about LOAs and prep school. There is a student in our district already committed to USMA prep school for next year for sports. Assuming they have an LOA and get a nom (not released yet in our district), would this count as a charge for the moc this year? IOW, is the Moc’s one and only slot as good as taken once the slate comes out? Or since the athlete is going to maps would it not count for this year?

@FutureAdademyDad?, Yes, there is no word from senator Harris yet.
It's great to have noms from Congressman. Is that right that your DS received noms for USNA and USAFA both from the same congressman?

Yes, she did not get a principal nom, but did receive competing alternate nominations for USNA and USAFA from the congressman.

Still waiting for decision from Senator Feinstein and for interview notice with Senator Harris...

Received nomination from Representative Raskin (MD-8) last night. For MD he is pretty early. For Van Hollen, those should be coming out soon, and Cardin will be coming out in January.
 
So far in TX noms are out for Cornyn, Cruz and TX-04. DS received one from our local MOC and Cruz to USAFA but turned down the one from Cruz so somebody else could use it. He already has the LOA so one is all that is needed.
 
Anyone hear back from any of their districts in Missouri. Im MO-2 and im getting nervous because last yr they were out already I believe. (At least for district 2)

Finally, nomination nightmare is over for DS. He received Nom from Rep. Curbelo FL 26 to USNA (Dec 14) and to USAFA today (Dec 19). Nominated to USMA by Senator Rubio FL 61.
