What more can I possibly do?

Good Evening Friends

I am making this topic out of a desperate attempt salvage my application before the dead line.

I am in great remorse because I was in such a rush to finish my application as early as possible. Some terrific, very important things happened just two months after I had my interview and submitted my personal essay. Would it be possible to reach out to my BGO to see if he could "update" the interview with these few stories included? I am too tremendously proud of them to simply leave them as checkmark in the activities box, I believe it would be beneficial to explain these three activities in detail. I tried reaching out to him through email, but strangely he ignored my question twice. I take that as a no?

Secondly, considerably the weakest point of my application would have to be my grades. I SUCKED my 9th and 10th grade year. My cumulative GPA is a 2.716, notably jumping from a 2.26 my sophomore year to a 3.75 taking honors/dual enrollment classes. I don't have an original copy of the personal essay I sent since I updated it overtime and I didn't know that you couldn't "update" your personal essay like you can with activities (I can only imagine the errors!), but my entire essay was pretty much "Hey I sucked back then. here's why I don't suck now!" I am currently taking all AP classes, but I must admit my grades are nothing stellar. Mostly B-'s, and a C in Calc. I'm back on a good track now, second and third marking periods are looking up now that I'm getting used to AP classes. Would it be beneficial to send a mid year report?

Lastly, my biggest hurdle is the physical aspect. I'm not sure if I mentioned during my interview, but because my house being so far from my school it made it impossible to participate in sports. The most I've done was joining in on some practices every now and then when I had a ride. I do personal weight-lifting at home/YMCA about every day to pick up the slack. Should I report that to the SA's? Most of the time I'm following a work out routine/dvd (Thanks, Tony Horton!) I'm not just throwing weights around.

I'm planning to retake the CFA but sometime mid January to get as much work out as possible (still struggling with pull ups and mile). My question is, would it be considered unnecessary to wait that long to finish my application? If I wrapped up my application, could I always submit a CFA score later in January?

And that's it I believe. After getting the green light from my BGO and admissions counselor I'm having another teacher send an additional letter of rec for me. My 11th grade and 10th grade teacher left my school, with my 12th grade teacher being knew and not really having a lot of time to get to know me compared to others. I thought it might be fair. I was wondering, my counselor of last year also left, and this might sound contradictory but would it be possible to have her redo my counselor recommendation? I can't explain it well, but my intensity and desire for USNA became more prominent while I was working with her, so she got see my interests more.

I do apologize for this large, unnecessary thread. I've been turning to as many corners as I could for advice. I'm open to any criticism or anything. I just really want to make this dream come true.

I read your past posts. IMHO If you send anything above you’ll make your App from bad to worse. It sounds to me a long laundry list of I could have done better rather than I have done better. I would just leave it where you left it and pray for a miracle. Make sure you have good Plan B that is demonstrable and realistic relative to your demonstrated performance not what I would like to do. That time has passed.

I suppose. I guess I've been kind of bummed I couldn't change anything in the end.

I did get accepted to other places with ROTC, feels good to have a great back-up

While it's not impossible, I would say your chances of being a direct admit are not great. Take what you have learned from this process and use it going forward. If serving as an officer in our military is what you want to do, then you know you are going to have to kick butt going forward. Be a standout "walk on" with *ROTC and there is a real possibility they will pick you up after the first or second year. If a service academy is your goal, then mirror your classes with a plebe year schedule once you get to college and reapply. Best of luck going forward.
