Can anyone tell me if my CFA is passing or how long it will take to find out from the academy?

B-ball throw- 38 feet
Flexed Arm Hang- 13.4 seconds
Shuttle Run- 10.6 seconds
Sit-ups- 66
Pushups- 23
Mile Run- 7:23

Also, how much emphasis is put on the CFA? I have 3 year varsity letters in 2 sports and am a varsity captain, will this help because my scores aren’t that great?

It’s decent I would say. Try really, really hard to get 1 pull-up. Also increase your pushups to at least 35. I believe in you! If you need any motivation, there was a girl in my summer seminar who did 3 legit pull-ups and 50 push-ups so it is possible with hard work. I think it is passing but only USNA knows their minimums. Good mile time and basketball and shuttle is good too I think.

Keep practicing until the date when you have to submit it. Push-ups and pull-ups, mainly. Here are some military.com links-
https://www.military.com/military-fitness/fitness-test-prep/pullup-push-workout
https://www.military.com/military-fitness/workouts/try-pushup-push-workout

Both of these are around 2 week routines, with a work out every day, modeled after military boot camps, but you should continue doing them for up until about a week until the admission deadline. That leaves a week to do your official CFA, and a few practice ones. Or you could do it for the 2 week duration and have even more wiggle room. You don't want to catch the flu and be out for the last week.

Good luck with your fitness!

Definitely practice. My DD went from zero pull-ups and 3 pushups to 3 pull-ups and 50 pushups during SS CFA. I hung a wooden dowel with one of those giant elastic bands to practice pull-ups assisted until she got the feel for them and she would do wall pushups, floor pushups, pushups in the driveway, in between classes, wherever, even if it was just 5 at a time. It paid off.

Your BGO can tell you whether you’ve passed. Probably yes. You will want to improve run and upper body strength before I-Day or you’ll be miserable.

As for varsity sports, depends on what sports and what school. Let’s face it, if making varsity at your school isn’t difficult, or you’re on the varsity golf team, that won’t make up for a poor CFA.
