What More Can I Do To Make Myself More Competitive? Tips?

Don’t visit USMA in your JROTC uniform.

I know this doesn’t seem like a valid tip, but it is—first impressions matter—and it seems all the other tips have been given.
 
Your app is pretty impressive, but I would hold back on those standardized test scores. You want to be aiming not just average but the 75th percentile of scores or better. Hopefully you'll find your way out of this. Good luck!

Yeah, of course.

I didn’t make this mistake and I’m very glad I didn’t even consider it. I actually didn’t even think of it as an option when choosing clothes for my visit, which I suppose is fortunate.

Don’t do it—the reason for this is not because cadets don’t like JROTC kids—they do, in fact, a lot of us used to do JROTC or similarly programs before West Point.

The problem is that cadets don’t like people who think their achievements before the Academy matter. When people mention their test scores or experience when it’s irrelevant, we find it annoying. Cadets prefer to host prospectives who are humble.

Well, this is very good to know! Since my uniform is STACKED/DECORATED and they would truly disapprove of me. As you said, first impressions are essential, and one may judge by looks before actually giving them a chance.
