US President: The Soviet Union Was Right To Invade Afghanistan

Just a thought. Trump says a lot of things that are non-conforming to what most people believe in. Sometime I think he does it intentionally to control the news. When a major news organization start counting how many lies Trump told, I think that’s not news but an obsession. In general politicians tend to stray from telling the truth. So, if we ignore, like I do, Trump’s talks what do we have - good economy, no major war, increasing deficit, polarized society. Well, this looks like somewhat similar to the last Presidency.

If I may, instead of waiting for what outlandish statment Trump might tell next and discuss them, find something more constructive for you. Since I stopped watching propaganda news, no I mean cable news, I am getting more sleep . . .

American news network lost the sophistication maybe it once had. Fox News is the American RT News promoting Trump Propaganda and CNN is leading the anti Trump news. I used to watch both for laughs and news. Now can’t watch neither. Somewhere along the way we lost intelligence and news all together and left with S... Shows. Now I’m gone back to reading Financial Times and The Wall Street Journal and no news on TV and spending more time with friends and family on many interesting discourse.

Republican (not conservative...Republican) politics in this country are, at their very core, a banally evil doctrine of wealth, cronyism, and deprivation of rights and dignity to other people where and when it suits those (like the neoconfederate wing led by Mitch McConnell) who seek to cling to a set of perverted values--values that are inconsistent with a nation that purports to be founded on the ideals of equality.

If that very frank assessment of the obvious makes you feel personally accused, then perhaps it's time to think deeply about what we hold dear. All this screaming and sputtering of "wHat ABoUT oBAmA?" is pathetic. Obama is not the President. He hasn't been for two years.

We have a defense contractor running the Pentagon. We have a coal lobbyist running the EPA. The mere tip of an iceberg of cronyism that has industries running the government agencies meant to hold them to account.

There are people in this country--perhaps some right here on this board--who, if confronted with irrefutable evidence that Donald Trump is a compromised agent of Russian intelligence, would rather he stay in power because he rubber stamps a reactionary Republican agenda than see him removed and prosecuted for actions against the United States of America.

That's where this country is. We are, at this moment, a disgrace to our future selves. We are a disgrace to future generations of Americans--however many or few there may be.

The Cold War isn't over. We thought it was over. The game changed, and we have lost.

No, there are some of us that think the Russian narrative is a hoax. Years later we see no evidence of Russian collusion. With the Democrats on Mueller’s team investigating, with Strzok and Page involved, with a fake dossier paid for by HRC (using a foreign agent with Russian contacts ?!? ), we still have NO EVIDENCE of Russian collusion by Trump.

It’s far past time to get past the “if Trump is a compromised agent of Russian intelligence” to showing me the money.

Let’s talk about Obama’s telling Medvedev how he has more “flexibility” after the 2012 election.

Or better yet ... let’s count the money HRC made from uranium one.

They are hiding something. And the liberals and the media are allowing them to continue.

Perhaps Benghazi arms to Syria?

The Cold War might have restarted, but the first Cold War was definitely over. Not sure what we lost? How much of our lives have changed say in last ten years? Didn’t the last Cold War last about 45 years?

I might agree that we could lose the current Cold War or we might be losing some battles.

Well, get ready for a full throated roar from Sec. Pompeo...in Cairo

https://www.politico.com/story/2019/01/07/pompeo-middle-east-speech-rebuke-obamas-1085570

From the article:

Pompeo is slated to tell his audience that Obama — although he may not name the former president — misled the people of the Middle East about the true source of terrorism, including what contributed to the rise of the Islamic State, according to the people briefed.

Pompeo will insist that Iran, a country Obama tried to engage, is the real terrorist culprit. The speech’s drafts also have Pompeo suggesting that Iran could learn from the Saudis about human rights and the rule of law, two people briefed said.

Muslim Brotherhood founded by an Egyptian. Al Qaeda cofounded by an Egyptian and a Saudi. AQAP by a Jordanian, ISIS by a Sunni Iraqi. All funded at least in part by Gulf Sunni states. They righteously hate and kill Shia Muslims as heretics and polytheists. Wrapping Iran into this is going to be quite a trick. Can't wait to hear Chris Wallace's interview with Sec. Pompeo.

Almost like listening to the screaming about drugs crossing the Southern Border at the exact moment that a Green Beret pleads guilty to smuggling 90lbs. of cocaine on a Military Transport from Colombia.
