Boarded/Under Consideration after first day of board?

So I’m a HS senior, and I completed my AROTC scholarship application a few weeks before the board that began today. Anyways, today my status changed from Board Ready, to “Boarded/Under Consideration”, which the website says means that I was not selected for a scholarship, however, it also says the results shouldn’t come out until 2-3 weeks after the boards finish at the end of this week. Is it a glitch? Did I get automatically rejected or something? If anyone has done the scholarship application recently, any insight would be great. I’m a little upset right now at the possibility that I was so bad of a candidate that they automatically turned me down.
 
Mine says I was boarded/under cosideration from the October board does yours from the January board or is it not specific.
 
They are reviewing the packets, hence the "under consideration". If it doesn't change to winner by the end of the week, or the week after, then you will stay in the "boarded/ under consideration" stage till the next board for the chance to get the scholarship then.. best of luck its a lot of anxious waiting

Shouldn’t it change to “Boarded” before anything comes out?
 
I wouldn't read too much into the change to your status. The Board has not yet finished for this round and nobody has received notification that they have been awarded a Scholarship yet. Most likely you have been reviewed and are now under consideration for this board. Soon you will see applicants posting here that they were awarded a scholarship, that will be the time you'll know your status. For now just wait until the process is completed in the next week or so.
 
... and one isn't "rejected" at this point in time... one is "not yet selected". There are more boards to come.

Unless someone here sits on the boards then you will not find the answer to that question in these forums.... obviously.
 
Another HS Senior here, I applied Army ROTC and was also put into the Boarded/Under Consideration tab after the first day. My last name begins with a C so fingers crossed this just means my application got read early and they havent made any real decisions yet. Good luck to all.
 
Boards, at least for AFROTC, and what I have read here over the yrs. It is a queue system, not alphabetical when it comes to boarding.

IOWS, your last name could start with C, but the person before you may start with S. The reason S would be boarded before you is because they submitted their package 3 days earlier. It has nothing to do with your last name, nor will you find out any earlier due to that initial. It is not rolling. They drop results at a specific time via a list.
~ This is the day and age of computers. The board meets. Someone places all of those names in the system. It is a timed release. IE results to be released at 08:00 on X date. 08:00 rolls around and VOILA on every CoCs email is the list.

Candidates sometime have issues finding out because their email system is set up to see that as SPAM, hence it could be bounced back.

For the October board, results were released sooner than expected, less than one week after the completion of the board. From what I have read here so far, that can vary quite a bit from board to board. My son was rolled from the first board to this one, so we are anxiously waiting as well. Good luck to all!
 
As of today:

Boarded/Under Consideration: Applicants in this status have been reviewed by the October or January Selection Boards. We are currently updating the OML and will update selection statuses and this message once we announce the results from the January Board. We expect this to occur around 2/1/19.
