I have been lucky enough to receive two nominations one that was service connected and the other from my congressman. I believe I am highly qualified in all other areas. (Passed DoDMERB, did really well on CFA, really good grades, leadership experiences.) Does having two nominations look better to West Point or help my chance of admission any other way. I also have not received an LOA or LOE. Thank yall.

No, having more than one nomination doesn’t look any better to an SA. If they want you, they care only that you have one.

It won’t help boost your WCS, but having multiple nominations means West Point has more flexibility with which slate they will charge for an appointment. You could not be appointed off of your presidential nomination, but could off of your congressional and vice versa. Having two noms just gives you more slates to potentially win and consequently more chances to get in.

A lot depends on where your WCS stands in your Congressional District as well as nationwide.

I don't think "look better" to West Point is meaningful. They prob don't care.

As far as "chance of admission", I think the only answer is yes, multiple nominations help. More slates to potentially win. You could lose MOC slate, not be high enough for QWL but be one of the Presidential 100 (or other service connected slots). Or not be one of the Presidential 100 but come from a weak district and be MOC winner. 2 >1. 3 or 4 even better.

My DS brags to his sister that it only took one for him! It is a good thing. Who really knows how it is calculated, but the idea that you made it to more than one list certainly sounds like a strong file to me.
