I'm not sure if anyone has any experience with this kind of situation but I figured that this is a good place to ask. I am eligible for a substantial outside scholarship through one of my parent's workplace that is renewable over 4 years. The specific guidelines for the scholarship state that
"The scholarships will be applied to tuition, fees, books, supplies and equipment required for course load at
accredited, four (4) year colleges/universities in the United States."
"Your funds will be issued via two (2) checks in August and December. Your check will be made payable to your institution. Your scholarship check cannot be made payable to you, the applicant. The check will be mailed to your home address so that you may deliver it to the correct office at your institution. You will receive an email notification once your funds have been issued."
I will be attending USNA next semester and am unsure of how I might come to see any of this scholarship money when most of the cost of the school is covered. Does anyone know how USNA might handle this scholarship money, if at all?
