I received my Offer of Appointment in the blue folder by mail yesterday. I have already initiated the Police Clearance and sent the Body Alteration and the citizenship forms. Do I need to order any uniform etc. before the I-Day or it will be provided there or should I carry some formal wears? I am confused.

You will receive a Permit to Report (PTR) package in the mail, which will be full of forms and information you need to fill out and get familiarized with, before I-Day.
Some forms will be turned in on I-Day. It is very well thought-out.

You do not need to buy ANYTHING to take to I-Day, so relax a bit. Everything will be in the PTR package, but you won't receive that package for quite a while, yet.

Enjoy the rest of your Senior year and stay in shape (or get in shape if you're not). Thank your parents, teachers, etc., for their help to get you to this point.

Breathe.

Thank you all. Are the dates for the Plebe Summer out, I have been looking at the USNA site but don't see anything? Will have to make reservations and bookings.

I-Day is on June 27 and plebe parents weekend may be August 9-11. I’m not 100% sure for the PPW but it will around there!

Would you mind posting a picture of the blue folder- not of your appointment letter - as it will have your name and such but of the other side with the aircraft and such- they changed the little pictures from last year and one of the pictures I saw of it -one of the plebes looks to be mine- but it was very blurry to blow up so I'm not quite sure

One more tip - Make good decisions, and don't do anything stupid. You are on the brink of starting a great adventure.
(I am not suggesting bubble wrap.... continue to live your life and do those things that got you the Appointment in the first place).

Curious? How long was your application submission complete before you received this packet? Daughter received LOA in November and nomination last Monday (1/15/19) into portal. No other items needed. Curious of the timeline to offer.

If the only condition on her LOA was the nomination, then she should see an offer in 7-10 days.

The only thing you have to buy and break in is a good pair of running shoes and Body Glide.

Yes. Running shoes. We bought three pairs of the same ones and he ran in all three pairs before he left for I-Day.
On I-Day he wore one pair and left the other 2 pairs at home. When we went to see him for PPW, we took him a second pair.
Pair 3 is still home with us.

My DS received his LOA in November and Nom on December 21 (only condition). He has still not received his offer. He thinks he should continuing waiting. Is this the right course or should he contact admissions?

That's a good question. If he thinks he should wait, he should wait. If he has indeed satisfied the condition(s) of the LOA, he is assured a spot in the class of 2023. Waiting until (for example) after the application deadline of January 31st won't hurt a thing.

I'm hoing you meant 2023. Thanks for the advice I'm only the support as he continues through this process.

Yes. I meant 2023. I went back in time and edited my post. :D
