State Nomination Threads - Moderated

Senator Van Hollen of MD just came out today. I was fortunate enough to receive his nomination to USAFA!! I also have a nom from Raskin, MD-08 for USAFA. I know everyone says that MD spreads the wealth and won't double nominate because of the competitiveness of USNA being so close. I don't know whether or not the MOCs just spreads the wealth for USNA only. Perhaps not for USAFA and the other academies.

Also, anyone else on the forum an MD applicant for 2023? I can hardly find any.
 
Has anyone received a nomination from either of the NJ Senators (Booker or Corey) or from Congressman Payne, Jr. from 10th district, NJ?
 
DS has not received a response from Booker or Menendez (Cory is Booker's first name ;) ...DS does have a MOC nomination already from NJ-07
 
Nothing here in the southern part of the state. FFR did say they typically get the noms in at the last second .
 
I'm not sure if anyone in California heard from senator Harris office. As a matter of fact running out of options due to not getting any response.
I will like to ask any of the "old timer" for their opinion and suggestion as 31st is approaching soon.
 
For all wondering about NJ, I will provide some clarity. Senator Menendez notifies those by calling usually toward the end of the month (I heard about some people receiving a letter as well so I'm not too sure how he is doing it this year). Senator Booker notifies those by mail in February, there was an email sent to every person who applied for his nomination about that. As far as personal Congressman or Congresswoman go, I cannot clarify that. My personal district has not received any notification based on my BGO's saying. I received my notification about my nomination last year January 29th, again it depends on your personal district Congressman or Congresswoman. I am just as anxious as all of you but tell yourselves or your DS's and DD's please be patient and enjoy their senior year because it only happens once. I wish I stressed less last year around this time, enjoy the time with friends and with each other while you have it because in the event you or those you love who are applying receive an appointment that precious time will be cut short by a lot due to the busy schedules of academy cadets. Im a MD applicant from Seventh District. I received my nomination from Congressman Cummings to USAFA.
 
Has anyone from Texas received there appointment to West Point and would anyone happen to know how many would receive appointments from Texas?
 
In general look at number of congressional districts plus 2 senators as a starting point.
That would be 38 + 2 for TX. Again just a starting point.
 
LOA in September, Congressional nom. in Dec., and file completed January 10th. No word of appointment, BFE, e-mail, portal update, nothing. So, answer is no at least for me.
 
The Houston area typically receives about 30 offers each year. I would assume that Dallas would have similar numbers and then the rest of the state would also have at least that many.

She has received:
USMA Nom from Senator Van Hollen
USMA Nom from Representative Brown (MD04)

Still waiting to hear back from Senator Cardin - anyone heard status of his nominations?
