Any word on Markey noms to USNA?

I've heard nothing. It sounds like Markey released nominations for USAFA and USMA, but why would they wait on USNA? I'm assuming I did not get one, but no news is no news...

It does seem strange and my DS is making the same assumption.

Admittedly it is getting late in the game, but there is still time. Trying to guess why a MOC does something is a losing proposition. You've waited this long, a little more won't kill anyone.

Let me share my DS example and if it might bring you some cheer ... he got denied by both senators of CA. Only hope was congressman. (Had LOAs from the Navy and AFA and an LOE from the West Point - humble, happy and hopeful to attend any academy to continue the family legacy of service). Attended congressman's interview. Within 4 days of the interview AFA portal showed him getting nominated. 2+ weeks passed by but no news if got nominated for the Navy and West point or not? My DS sent a note asking if academy received the list or not from the congressman. As of 30th Jan, Navy and WP said they have not received the list. Then got an email from the congressman's office that nominations slate was sent today (on Jan 31st).
Bottom Line: why AFA's list was sent soon after the interview and Navy/WP after 2+ weeks on the last day? No logical reason that we can think of. Let's give the congressman's office a "big thanks and praise" that they did it on the last day in the midst of their numerous competing priorities for their time.

So.. please do not assume anything. This is what going to be the life at the academy. :)

Some MOC offices have different review panels for each SA, like WP grads/retired Army for USMA apps, AF officers/alum for USAFA, and so on. Depending on the panels' availability and the sheer volume of applications, it doesn't surprise me that some nomination slates might be completed and submitted sooner than others.

Make sense if multiple panels are there to interview for a particular academy applicants. In our DS case, there was only one panel consist of 5 members (1 AFA grad, 2 WP grads, 2 Navy grads) and still submission of slates were at different times. Again, I am not saying anything against any process or person. At the same time we all knows that how hard our kids had worked throughout this application process and I wish certain things (especially communication) would have been better. I believe that going thru these things are also learning for our kids.

Confused. Got a call beginning of January DS got MOC nomination. However DS found out he got a senator nomination. Had no interview or contact whatsoever. Does this mean he got two. No letter from congressman orsenator. Can a MOC take it awayafter
He got call and accepted

Did anyone end up receiving/hearing about any nominations to USNA from Senator Markey's office?

Still no word for me either. I might call and ask today.

My DD received a call last week from Warren she did NOT receive a nom. (she does have one her MOC). She also received a call from Markey's office and DID receive a nom to USAFA. The waiting game is on...

Has anyone from CO heard anything from Senator Bennet?
I spoke with Sen. Bennet's (CO) office last week. They were finalizing their lists. Hopefully you have already heard by now. If not, give them a call!

I just got off the phone with Senator Markey's office, and the staffer said we should get a letter in the mail in a few days. From what I've read here the office has already released USMA and USAFA, so this USNA news should come soon!

Awesome, thanks! I still haven't heard anything, and I sent an email 4 days ago and I have not gotten a response. I'll give them a call! I assume you used the 719-542-7550 number? Did they email you a decision?

Keeping my fingers crossed for all MA candidates. One would think that if the USNA deadline was last Thursday, the portal would reflect an approved nomination at this point.
