I have had my entire USNA application at near complete status since around November 2018. However, the only Required Action I had to wait on was my Fall 2018 college transcript (available in Jan. for my college). I sent out my college transcript asap (very early Jan.), but the USNA still has no indication of receiving or processing it.
A few weeks ago, I contacted the admission staffer who handles physical mail for my state. I was informed that there was a backlog of mail, and it may take some time to process it all. I was also informed that I would be contacted by the admissions staff once my transcripts were received. I also sent a few e-mails before and after the Jan. 31 deadline to various UNSA admissions staff be proactive, and have my situation be noticed.
I am curious if anyone else is having a similar dilemma, or any advice to offer? I was told that as long as my transcript was postmarked before Jan. 31, my USNA application would still be valid. However, because a few weeks have passed, I am not sure if my transcript was even received. I am aware that the USNA has already sent out LoA and started their selection process. I would hate to have put in months of work just to have my application rejected because the mail system lost my transcript.
P.S.- I personally sent in my college transcript, accompanied with a supplemental letter from myself. I did this because I wanted to send in my supplemental letter with my transcript. Also, my college sends transcripts through an online 3rd party, and working with that company and their website is a nightmare (thus I had it delivered to my college for pickup, which is more reliable than having them send it out).
