Hello,
I have accepted my offer to USNA 2023. I have came down with sore throat and i took Over the counter med like ibuprofen and will go to CVS to buy some other otc medication that hopefully works better.

Do i have to report illnesses like these to USNA or do you only comtact them if you contract something chronic (broken bones, dislocation etc.)

First, what does the Permit to Report packages say ? Always follow what USNA provides you to the letter. That is the only information you should rely on.

Second (and in the absence of any direction from USNA), Relax, use common sense, and don't create problems that don't exist. Live your life the way you have before your Appointment. (That's what made you successful).

I looked uo the PTR packet for C/O 2022. I will follow by it for now until C/O 2023 PTR comes in the mail, which i will double check to see of anything changed. Thanks again for the suggestion.

No. I would not report it. It is simply a cold. Now if there is a major medical problem you must report it.
JMHO.

Unless you visit a doctor, ER, or urgent care I cannot see why anything needs to be reported.
But follow any and all instructions that you have received.

[Assuming you don't 'not go' if you should've.]

Do NOT take any prescription meds that are not prescribed to you !!!!
