Hello, I was boarded already, but I edited my essay. Will the next board read the new essay?

The board does not review your file again. SAT/ACT scores, GPA, things like that can change your score, but the board review is kind of like your interview, it is done once. You are still on the OML list, and will be considered for a scholarship though, however, I am 99% sure no one is going to re-read your essay.

What about letters of rec and fitness test?

The board does not read letters of recommendation.

Do they only read the essays during the first board and not again? So if you changed your essay for the 2nd board it is too late or will they read again for the 2nd board?

You only get boarded once.
clarksonarmy...can pft be updated now...it was confusing on the website, whether you could update your application after March 4th for the final board. Wondering if you can resubmit pft scores after between March 4th and March 18th for consideration. Thanks.

There has actually been an extension to the deadline. Understand that the PFT score is the smallest part of the application. Submitting a new PFT score can’t hurt, but don’t expect it to make a big difference.

It's been an interesting process...I'm biased for sure...but felt like my daughter was a really strong candidate with her grades, extra-curricular, sports, etc...but didn't get boarded on first two. However, her test scores qualified but weren't great. Everything else was strong and she maxed out her interview...I guess if it's meant to be...it's meant to be.

I went to USMAPS and then to West Point...seems ROTC is almost as competitive. Glad we are getting good young people interested in serving. AATW!

Do you know when everyone will here if they got a scholarship or not?

Typically it is approximately two weeks after the board meets but that can vary by a lot.
