First wave of rejections tomorrow?

Well, tomorrow is Saturday so I doubt that's accurate. Where the heck re you hearing this? And even if it is tomorrow isn't it good to finally know?

Good point kinnem. It would be good to know. Plan B-Z need some additional attention units.

Bottom line is you could hear good or bad news any day. I have one candidate who heard good news yesterday who had been CPR since Sept. I have another whose application hasn’t even been reviewed yet. Every year we see the anxiety on this board. I remember the wait to. We caution every cycle on this forum... April 15th isn’t a joke. We say be prepared to wait until then. Unless you heard something directly from admissions... it’s rumor.

I received my TWE on March 22nd last year and I didn't even have a nom so I would guess for people with noms it would be closer to April.

I said this in another post, but I receive my rejection letter last year on April 13th (Like @Dadof2 stated) and I DID NOT have a nomination to USNA. Believe it or not, the other schools that I will be transferring to (I do not wish to go into personal details on why) have not even reviewed my application yet. I know this because I asked my admissions counselors at said schools. Even if a rejection wave came out, I want a darn answer at this point as @kinnem stated! I'd rather know and focus for the next cycle than be up in the air in uncertainty. Only USNA admissions know what is going on, everything else you may read is most likely pure speculation. I would trust the words from the senior users on this forum, they've been around long enough to know what the deal is.

I have one that the Admissions Board has not decided on yet - no nom that I can see and below average SATs.

You probably can't answer this but how much do you have access to on your BGO portal?

Very little. We can see if you have been reviewed, offer status and if you are 3Q. About it. We aren’t allowed to divulge any status. Really it’s very little info we have access to.

no one knows what is happening at USNA except the folks that are on the admissions board.

And they ain't talking!

Surprisingly our DS received his TWE on a Saturday morning last year at the end of March. There is really no way of knowing when you are going to get the email with notification of a portal change for an appointment or the TWE unless you get a call before from your congressman or senator's office. This year DD received her USAFA appointment on a Saturday without any call from the Congressman's office. I believe that since the congressman was voted out and we have a new one the office may not know the proper protocol. So DS is a college re-applicant now and the CPR wait continues. Good luck to everyone and keep busy over the weekend.

One thing you will learn is rumors exist at every level of the military. Ever heard of the Lance Corporal underground? Sea or Barracks Lawyers? As an officer you have to learn to be transparent with your Sailors or Marines without divulging things you can’t. Keep rumors to a minimum. Just wait until you are on a ship and the rumor mill of when you are going home from deployment or next port call or next whatever it is. Oh and then there is the spouses network at home with the same rumor mill going on that then gets fed back to the unit. Military life is full of rumors... you learn to figure out what to believe or not.
