Trying to figure out what is going on, maybe somebody here can shed some light.
Last DODMERB update was:
08-Feb-19 Date letter sent - Reviewed Medical at Program(s) Request
The request was for remedials which were done right away. DD called to confirm that DODMERB had the results from Concorde. The technician confirmed that they had received the results on 2/22 and they were under review.
It's now a month later and the status remains Pending Waiver Submission/Review, the request for remedials is still there etc., the page hasn't been updated at all even to reflect that the results were received. Is it just that DODMERB is way backed up?

Your DD needs to start calling on a weekly or daily basis until she gets through to a technician. You can just google what is the phone number for dodmerb. It's an automated message with a directory for your technician depending on last name. My technician didn't answer or respond to 6 calls, the same technician didn't respond to four emails over two months. I decided to call a technician that wasn't assigned to my file, they figured things out for me in 5 minutes and the next day my medical was qualified. I've heard a couple excuses for dodmerb being backed up, but persistence is key. Don't count on them, you need to start talking on the phone with a real person.

DoDMERB does not give the waiver, your commissioning source does. I would have your DD contact the DoDMERB tech for specific answers. IE: Has the file been sent to the commissioning source and now she is waiting review for a waiver?
~ IOWS, if DoDMERB says it has been submitted to the commissioning source, than DoDMERB is really out of it until the source decides. It can take weeks/months for the source to determine if they will waive.
Remedials work 2 ways when it comes to DoDMERB You send in the remedial. DoDMERB looks at the regs set forth by the source. If from the remedial paperwork you are now Qd than your portal will change. If once DoDMERB reviews the remedial, but it still does not meet the regs., than the commissioning source will review and determine if they will waive.

You cannot contact for her if she is 18 due to HIPPA laws. Good luck

Ahhhh thank you.

She was originally DQ'ed, then the letter came that her medical record was reviewed again at the request of the academy and the additional remedials were requested. Sounds like the question of whether it has been submitted to the commissioning source is the one she needs to ask. She has done all the communication herself, I'm just trying to figure this out behind the scenes because it's complicated. When she spoke with the technician the technician said they had all the data and it was still being reviewed. I'm guessing its in the hands of the academy and they have to decide what they want to do at this point. I appreciate the insight.

So I’m confused. The academy asks dodmerb for the waiver, Dodmerb asks for the AMI or whatever, they collect it and then they don’t review it, the academy does?

That is correct. The academy has their Waiver Authority that either approves/denies waiver or sends it back to Dodmerb to get AMI

Ok so what we said earlier is probably correct - DODMERB hasn't been updated with the requested remedials because they are waiting to hear from the academy's Waiver Authority on the final determination of waiver approved or denied. I guess we were wondering whether she "Passed" the remedial (it was for asthma after age 13) but we may never know. Waiting is the hardest part.....maybe I'll turn on some Tom Petty to pass the time..... :)

Pima, do you know what happens after the assigned DODMERB Medical Technician sends AMI to the reviewer? The DODMERB flow chart says DS was supposed to receive a remedial letter, complete remedial and send back to DDODMERB. DODMERB status says remedial requested. Looks like DS missed a step and will have to try again next year.

Thank You in advance.

Sorry, forgot to mention there is no DQ or Q mentioned in his DODMERB status.
Thank You again.

I have a question for you. I am not sure how old your posts is. I am wondering what was the outcome for the Asthma after age 13. We have similar situation. I am wondering how you went about getting remedials.

DODMERB requested the remedials via her status page on the DODMERB website. Then she went to the Concorde site where her initial physical was scheduled. The remedials were listed there, as well as the doctor that she was assigned to. We called and made the appointment. The results were sent to DODMERB from the doctor, and DD also emailed the results. After that, we have heard nothing and as I mentioned in my post, it's been over a month. She believes she "passed" as the doctor said that, but nothing has changed in either her USNA or DODMERB portal. So we wait....April 15th isn't too far off now so she should know one way or another soon enough. Best of luck to you, happy to answer any other questions if I can.

Similar to my case, DoDmet sent the remedial results to DoDMERB on Feb 6, 2019, but there is no status update on DoDMERB since January 24, 2019 (remedial letter sent).

We're in the exact same situation. Just trying to be patient!
