Can anyone tell me just how many have already been appointed to West Point?

@Saralee, you’ve asked essentially the same question several different ways over the past few months. The answer essentially remains the same: No one here has an accurate answer.

Trying to read the tea leaves to divine your outcome is a very big waste of time. Yes, I understand it’s very difficult to keep your mind off this. But it’s simply out of your control at this point. And should you enter the military, you’ll learn fast that things out of your control are not worth your time and energy. Hang tight — you’ll have an answer soon enough.

As MidCakePa said - no one here knows. There are too many variables anyway to even make a guess. Not all appointments made have been answered with an accept or decline. Some folks are waiting on hearing from other Service Academies or civilian schools before making a decision. Some are waiting to hear back on their medical waivers.
Saralee - I suggest you have your son contact his FFR and ask them these questions. They will have a better handle on where he stands.
I know the wait is awful. Hang in there.

From best I can tell, OP is a mom, not a candidate, and perhaps not a native English speaker. These factors may account for some of the repeated (essentially) duplicate posts.

Not being a native English speaker causes one to repeat questions?

I think @SAorBUST was kidding and just throwing a number out there for fun as how would anyone know? I was about to post "921" but thought better of it.

Whichever number someone posts here will be out of date almost immediately. How many or how few have been appointed already has nothing to do with any individual's chances of appointment, so I don't see how this number is informative.

Hang in there @Saralee. April is right around the corner. I don't think anyone can be certain of the number of appointments given so far. For what its worth, I agree with Love4monsters, these forums are supposed to be a form of support and encouragement, not mockery and ridicule. Please remember that there are members still anxiously waiting and nerves are bound to be shot. Life at the academy will help all cadets manage stress better however, there are young adults waiting to hear if their life long dream has been achieved or not. Some have been waiting for over 5 months, not to mention all the hard work they poured into their application the year prior. Many of us have the luxury of knowing what the future holds for us next year, many do not. Saralee, I hope you get your answer soon, keep your head up!

Nice! Well put. Agree wholeheartedly.

Well, that's not what I said, but I guess it could, if you don't understand the answer.

You said "From best I can tell, OP is a mom, not a candidate, and perhaps not a native English speaker. These factors may account for some of the repeated (essentially) duplicate posts."

You listed two qualities about the OP - being a mom, and a non-native English speaker - then said these factors may account for some of the repeated duplicate posts. So yes, you said one being a non-native English speaker is a factor in repeating questions.

There has been no indication this person doesn't understand the answers - she has been perfectly adept at impersonating an applicant at times, and reverting to being a mother at others.
