@FastFood44 , I noticed on the video that the 4/c in Type IIIs don't have a US Flag or DTOM patch. Are those awarded after the crucible phase, similar to USMC EGA?

Even currently, MIDN (even 1/C MIDN) across certain units do not wear them, while for some units everyone wears them including 4/C once they come into the unit in September. During CORTRAMID, even when MIDN are “active duty” I would say only 50% of the people have the patches.

In looking at all the paperwork again today we did not see anything about getting paid. Looks like scholarship activates come the start of the fall semester. In fact, I saw it said to bring $200 for toiletries and such. And also asked for routing number and account to reimburse for travel.

Quick update: I got an email today saying that midshipmen going to an SMC will no longer be attending NSI this summer. Kinda sucks but what’s can you do

@militarylife Senior Military College, ie. VMI, VA Tech, Texas A&M, Citadel, Norwich, North Georgia. Characterized by having a Corps of Cadets that lives pretty much a 24x7 lifestyle who are in their Corps of Cadets uniform most of the time. They have a somewhat special place, by law, in our ROTC program system.
