As a sidenote to this post, I used to work with a retired Army officer who'd also been a Coach K classmate and fellow member of Army's NIT team.
While I was working with him, the USMA Athletic Dept was trying to organize a team reunion with Bobby Knight and almost none of the team members were
willing to participate. According to my coworker, the team members did not have fond memories of Knight.
 
Well my bracket is blown. Thank you Florida State.
 
Went to bed and I was in the top 2400 in the country. Woke up this a.m. and I dropped to the top 25000 thanks to Michigan losing. I need Kentucky to win tonight because I have them going all the way to the final, but losing to Gonzaga

Bullet's bracket was blown too bc he had Tenn against Duke (Duke winning). He also had Mich in his final 4. He has given up looking at his bracket, but now watches mine. He is ranked 3.1 Mill.
 
My house last night during the Auburn vs UNC game
ME: Cheering on Auburn
BULLET: Honey, you know you have UNC winning
ME: Yeah, but I don't have UNC in the final, so my standing will go up if Auburn wins. There will be tons of people that have UNC going all to the final, thus I will get higher ranking if they lose.
BULLET: Okay. :confused:

Yesterday before the games I was 25K rank. This a.m. I am 22K ranking and still holding at 100%. Thinking that I went up the ranks bc UNC lost.

Now let's be real I am screwed if Gonzaga or Kentucky loses this weekend.
Also Duke needs to bring up their game . 75-73 against VT? Michigan knows how to rebound and do 3 pointers. I am worried about that game since I have Duke.
 
Michigan State always scares me. On any given day they can beat anyone. Hope it's not as exciting as the 1992 East Regional semi-final between Duke and Kentucky.... "It's at the buzzer... it's Christian Laettner... he turns... he shoots... he scores!"
 
Well I am now out. Texas Tech killed me. I am now worried that UVA is going to lose to Purdue. I went from 22K rank to 200K in one day.
I blame it on Bullet...he left for a TDY this a.m. I told him from now on he can't travel during March Madness.
 
Anyone following women’s basketball? My girls are still in it and making us proud!!
 
There go my brackets with Gonzaga and Duke losing (sorry @kinnem) - BUT -my bright light is my Auburn tigers are gong to the Final Four!
I'm sure there have been a bunch of busted brackets from this weekends games.
That's what makes it Madness!

Auburn and Michigan State both played great games and earned their wins. UVA is my last team left in it so we know who I'm rooting for.
 
I'm going full homer and pulling for the Wahoos.

I wouldn't cheer for Auburn to win a cow pie throwing contest, which they routinely do.
 
Kinnem, I am with you. UVA is the only one left in my bracket, but I didn't have them in the final, so I am basically out now.

Hmm- I lived in Auburn for four years while earning my degree and never saw a cow pie much less a cow pie throwing contest.
What is your 'beef' with Auburn?
