TWE Mass Wave

100% agree with @usna1985 and the other comment as well, make sure your plan B is a place you will be happy with. I as a reapplicant am unhappy with my current university and am transferring for various reasons. Even as a reapplicant, I have two plan B's locked in and ready to go if USNA does not come through this go around that I can afford. I'll be honest, USNA is a dream school of mine, yes, but so is Clemson, Texas A&M, University of Texas, University of Florida, Penn State, and two other schools that I DID get accepted to my senior year but I just couldn't afford even with scholarships: The Citadel and Norwich University. I just cannot afford these schools, it's an unfortunate circumstance I happen to be in (and when I say this, I do not want to go to USNA because it's "free". Attending USNA is not free by any means, and I would still be joining the military after graduating at any of the other said schools. I currently pay my own tuition at the university I am currently attending and will be doing so at the other plan B school's as well). As usna1985 said, be happy with your second choice and give it a chance before jumping right into reapplying, it should be a win-win for you. Plus USNA is never guaranteed, I did everything that I was told to do by my admissions counselor, my BGO, and by the advice of seniors like many on this site and I still don't think I'm getting in as a reapplicant (I'll be surprised if I do even with a 4.0 GPA in plebe courses, almost max CFA scores, and other factors in my favor). For those waiting just like me, especially if your seniors, keep going forward no matter what your result is. The end goal is to be a military officer, whether it be through an academy, ROTC, or OCS. If you want to reapply then heck go for it, but do not just knock off your plan B because as @WIMOM said in a recent thread, it just might turn to be an exceptional plan A. You will get the best of both worlds and not to mention a summer vacation on top of it. Good luck to everybody as they wait for an answer like me during this final week. And seniors, regardless of whether or not you get accepted you should be excited for college because besides all the work and stressful exam studying days, it's a blast! Making it this far is a great feat in and of itself, so be proud of yourselves for what you accomplished. Again, good luck and may fortune be in your favor.

DD is still waiting as well. Her Plan B with a 4 year NROTC scholarship to her university of choice is now in place. Although I'm sure she will be very disappointed to get the TWE, we have discussed it and she has said that she is completely happy with Plan B and she does understand that it's just a different path with the same outcome. Good luck to everyone who are still waiting and to those who will reapply...we will all find out soon enough by next week.
